More on Florida Age Demographapocalypse

December 6, 2013

(Guest Post by Matthew Ladner)

New guest post on RedefinED about Florida’s killer combo of surging youth and elderly population.  I recently did a podcast with the Heartland Institute on the same subject.

Like Arizona, Florida’s current choice programs are simply too small to absorb more than a small portion of the coming youth population increase.

In a major news development, today the Heartland Institute described JPGB as a “widely read education reform-pop culture blog.” After all these years of struggling for recognition as a major voice in the pop culture world, at long last our toil and struggle has been vindicated.

Oh, and they have this podcast I did on the Win-Win report showing that the research consistently supports school choice. If you’re, you know, into that kind of thing.

Podcast on Power

August 16, 2011

(Guest post by Greg Forster)

Still catching up on a travel backlog – in case you missed it, here’s my latest pod-type casting module over the inter-net system of tubes via Heartland. Main topic: the delicate balance between truth and power, and how the late unpleasantness shows the dangers to which some education reformers are already succumbing as they displace the minions of the blob as gatekeepers to the center of the conversation. Our old friend Jack Jennings, aka the human torch, also makes an appearance!
