The blow-hard radio host Michael Savage has never been known for his careful and thoughtful analysis, but he recently went a big-mouth mile too far when he declared that autism was “a fraud, a racket … In 99 percent of the cases, it’s a brat who hasn’t been told to cut the act out. … They don’t have a father around to tell them, ‘Don’t act like a moron. … Act like a man. Don’t sit there crying and screaming, idiot.’ “
Shame on him.
On the other hand, if he wants to talk about people who are brats and who need to be told to cut the act out, and who need to have a somebody tell them, “Don’t act like a moron, don’t sit there crying and screaming, idiot” . . . well, I guess he knows all about that, doesn’t he?
Michael Weiner (I refuse to acknowledge people by their pseudonyms when their only reason to change their name is an atempt to sound cool) is a perfect example of someone who is not worth engaging on an intellectual level. In his case ad hominem attacks are better, even if they are contrary to the spirit of this blog’s policies. He is a jackass.
