NYT on Governor Bush

(Guest Post by Matthew Ladner)

New York Times on Governor Bush’s visit to Minnesota.  Someone needs to write some new material for the “skeptics” these newspapers put in for “balance” in their stories. It’s the same stuff every time and it is still weak.

Nice cocktail reference Jay!

Also- Oklahoma passed their tax credit bill, and Wisconsin lawmakers have introduced a special needs scholarship.

Living in Florida, I suppose a have a skewed viewpoint on Governor Bush’s efforts. I tend to think he brings quite a few good ideas to the table, and I also he’s the kind of person who contributes to and perhaps even respects debate. Still, his ideology often creeps in and just sort of leaves me cold. Stating that there’s no place or need to teach evolution in schools just doesn’t make a lot of sense in any regard but a political one.

I don’t know anything about the evolution debate in Florida, but look on the bright side: far more Florida children have the capacity to read Darwin now and decide for themselves.
