Starting today and ending Thursday I’m moderating an online discussion on whether we should “scrap” NCLB over at the NewTalk web site.

    Nothing to do with this Jay but I watched Speed Racer, and got beyond wondering why Racer X had a subwoofer in the cockpit of his racecar and watched the movie for the story, pacing, editing, art, character development etc. It was actually good. I was shocked.

    Christina Ricci in short shorts didn’t hurt either.

    For the record, in case there was any ambiguity about this, Jay should not be held responsible for my heroic/suicidal stand in favor of Speed Racer.

    I watched it because I didn’t believe Greg (I saw the post on Friday) but I always try to keep an open mind.
