One question, since education dollars are taxpayer funds and/or corporate tax dollars that are spent on education: Is that $500K personal income gleaned from the business of education? Ms. Moskowitz successfully side-stepped the question.
I’m not sure, but I would guess that her compensation is set by her board of directors.
At least half of her salary is paid for by private donations.
She got a little fast and loose with the attrition numbers and completely side-stepped the question about counseling out. For a 15-minute-long sit-down we didn’t hear much about what makes Success different.
We did see some of her typical struggles with appearing relatable and having quick, punchy responses. She is highly qualified to be mayor and I would like nothing more than to see her primary de Blasio, but she has to massively improve how she comes across on camera. She’s got kind of a Nixonian thing going on.
