(Guest post by Greg Forster)
Over the weekend, ALELR ran the numbers on Technorati and posted the Top 20 Education Blogs on his blog, Intercepts. Coming out on top – Joanne Jacobs. But what do you expect given that she’s married to royalty?
Tied for #10? Jay P. Greene’s Blog and . . . Intercepts.
I say we settle this like men – on the field of honor. There can be only ten!

Our movie references per post ratio beats everyone else to a pulp!
That can’t be the best movie reference you can come up with. How about Doc Holliday and Johnny Ringo from Tombstone?
I found this cool page on Wikipedia:

What can I say? I’ll always have a soft spot for Bond. Plus, the pop culture reference game is all about obscurity – you get no points for making the obvious reference.
One picture I considered was the swordfight between Wesley and Indigo in The Princess Bride. But I decided it wasn’t enough of a “duel.”
I’d go with a classic Mexican stand off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXldafIl5DQ
Or
The Man in Black vs. Inigo duel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3gfFVmw0kA
Greg, you were tempted by the wrong duel in Princess Bride. It is a geek duel, so it should be the iocane powder duel of the minds.
I also just want to gloat that the union-propaganda machine, er, I mean Edwize blog did not make the top 20.
You are so right – that’s why it’s your name on the masthead!
Not that I would actually challenge Mike to a battle of wits to the death. Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! I’m of Italian extraction myself, but I hail from the northern Alps region; I have no idea where Mike traces his roots to, but I’m not taking any chances with anyone named Antonucci.
Napoli.
